Private Voice Lessons for Females, Grades 6-12
Kerith currently has the following openings in her voice lesson schedule:
I offer lessons for girls in 6th -12th grade. I hold lessons at my apartment in East Boise, and I do have cats, so this only works if my students are not allergic. I typically do a 60-minute session for $50 once a week, and accept payment at the time of the lesson or in advance. If a family would like to pay in advance for a 4-lesson bundle, I can offer a discounted rate of $45 per lesson. I allow one “skip” every 3 months, either a cancellation or a planned miss. If a family needs to cancel a lesson or try to reschedule to a different time or day of the week, I require at least 48 hours notice. If myschedule changes and we aren’t able to find a time to meet that week, any pre-paid money will roll over to future lessons.
Because I have a broad background in singing and was classically trained, we can work on whatever style of music my students would like, as well as general vocal technique & safety, increasing vocal range, ear training, goal-setting, performance aspects, song-writing, and even recording with our professional-grade vocal microphone. We’ll work hard, but it’ll be a lot of fun, too!
I am taking lots of precautions, covid-wise. Students wear masks inside the building, wash their hands upon entering my apartment, and they have their own area in the great room. We are at least 6 feet apart almost the entire time, usually 10. For especially “breathy” warm-up exercises, we face away from each other. I open the sliding glass door for better ventilation, I sanitize the student's area before and after their lesson, and hand sanitizer is available to use whenever they feel they need it.
Friday Enrichment Programs at Sage International School:
Is your child looking for something FUN to do this Spring? Could they benefit from a high-energy, creative, in-person program with other kids their age during this stressful pandemic? Rising Stars is back at Sage for an extended, 10-week session of singing, hip hop dancing, and acting! Taught by professional choreographer, playwright, and performer, Kerith Telestai, or as Sage kids call her, “Mrs. T." Tennis shoes, water bottle, and work-out clothes recommended. (Snack also recommended for 2 older groups.) Since class is being held outdoors, please prepare for the weather (sunscreen & hats, layers of clothing, ski jackets & mittens, etc.) We will meet outdoors with social distancing and no masks as long as the weather isn’t miserable, in which case, we will move indoors where masks will be required. Masks will also be required for bathroom breaks and any “quick passes” on stage where 6 feet of distance can’t be maintained. Therefore, please send a mask with your student to every class. Please monitor your child’s health and do not send them if they have any symptoms of Covid-19. Parents will be refunded for classes missed due to Covid. This class is expected to fill up; first come first served. Your child’s spot is secured only once registration and payment are complete. Please commit to attending every class, if possible.
Extended Session! 10 Fridays: March 19, 26, April 2, 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21, 28, June 4, with a performance on the last day (times TBD)

Drawing on the theme of kindness, we will be learning songs and dances that emphasize showing kindness even when it's not easy. We'll tackle issues of race, gender, age, religion, socioeconomic status, disabilities, and politics, and discuss how, no matter what, people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. We can use these differences to become an even stronger, more compassionate group.
